I will always maintain that what we saw was unnecessary, but this does add a little perspective. I can’t believe more people haven’t posted this. I guess it doesn’t aid in consistently vilifying the police and not the protesters.
If you still won’t watch- know this, the police were LEAVING without incident when the protesters marched on them and insisted the people they had arrested be released. THE PROTESTERS BLOCKED THE POLICE’S EXIT. Yeahhhh that’s never going to end well… this is a quick way to get your ass kicked by the police. So the cops told the people blocking their path that if they didn’t move, they would get pepper sprayed (you can hear a cop say this in the video). They didn’t move. Now they are not protesting anything; they are blocking the exit of the police. They TELL THE POLICE they will LET them leave if they release the people they have arrested… and then we have all seen what happens next.
I still don’t like it, but I get it. And more of you should see this.
I don’t expect too many pro-Occupy moonbats to reblog this but you can’t say we didn’t give it a shot.
