Illinois has a new law that took effect on January 1 requiring all people who purchase drain cleaners or any caustic substances to provide a government issued photo ID. And retailers now must ask for identification from those buying drain cleaners and maintain extensive records of which caustic products have been purchased, in what amounts, and by whom.

One hundred and fifty years after the Civil War began about 20 miles away in Charleston Harbor, fights continue over the meaning of the Confederate flag. Some see it as a symbol of slavery and racism; others like Caddell say it’s part of their Southern heritage.
Don’t these people marching over a silly flag understand property rights?
Opponents of the flag earlier gathered 200 names on a protest petition and took their case to a town council meeting where Caddell tearfully testified that she’s not a racist. Local officials have said she has the right to fly the flag, while her neighbors have the right to protest. And build fences.

They would like the Democratic Party to apologize for their role in past racial injustices done against blacks. Oh, you thought Republicans were the racists? Well, think again. The democrats have had over 175 years of keeping blacks as second class citizens from slavery to Jim Crow. Throughout recent years, the Democrats (including President Obame) have refused to acknowlege their stained history. Rev. Wayne Perryman, the lead plaintiff in this class lawsuit, said, “Any organization that has such a racist history and receives 97% of the African American vote (after doing all they could to deny blacks the right to vote), should willingly apologize without being forced do so through a lawsuit.” The democrats attack on the tea party as a racist movement, which is obviously untrue, is just another way for them to keep the rhetoric off of their own bad policies.
